Nicky Burgess
After completing a BSc degree in Business and Sport Management, Nicky moved to Stuttgart, Germany where she was introduced to a new culture and language. Nicky took on the challenge of new surroundings and was able to continue her career development, gaining further marketing experience across new technologies in both hardware and software solutions supporting a variety of industry sectors. After 7 years of being away from the U.K. she decided it was the right time to move back and be closer to family.

What do you do at SmartDrive?
I communicate the importance of video-safety to the market, ensuring both customers and people within the market are aware of the current activities and updates happening, helping to support customers in keeping their drivers and fleets safe on the road.

Communicate, educate and support.
What is something fleet owners have to deal with that you want to fix?
Distracted drivers. I want to help avoid collisions and reduce the risk for all road users.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?
I have 12 years of marketing experience, supporting new technology trends across key industry areas such as automotive and aerospace.

The SmartDrive solution and team. The team has incredible industry and market experience with the common goal of helping to protect your fleet and road users.
Your top favourite Movies/Books?
My ultimate favourite movie is Shawshank Redemption, I could watch it over and over again.

Tell us something we don’t know about you?
I used to be a gymnast and trained 7 days a week. Even after years of no training I can still backflip in the park.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I really enjoy getting outdoors and walking across the hills in the fresh air. It’s in these moments where I feel most creative.
